I woke up craving potatoes and eggs. Probably not a craving I should have given in to. I did. So, latkes and scrambled eggs was for breakfast. (I only made two though..just using this photo from the last time I made them).

I had the best birthday ever! Flowers and a card from hubby when I woke up..a surprise gift on my doorstep when I checked the mail...thanks Mila! Lunch with friends..old and new, some lovely artisan olive oil, a wonderful rooster cookie jar, and lunch today with my hubby and in-laws. Eileen has some wonderful taboulleh for me too! Time for schnitzel!

I LOVE potatoes and eggs on weekends. It's a signal that it's really not a workday when you can indulge in hearty goodness like that.
