Let the Canning Begin!







I canned as much triple heirloom basil/garlic tomato sauce as I could today!

Every time I see pics of some lovely, just-canned produce, I am envious. I must get over my canning-phobia some day! I admit it -- I don't quite have the confidence yet to pull it off. I still think I'm going to end up poisoning myself. Hah.

these photos are great - and so are the short rib photos. i find that i delight in lovely food photos almost as much as i delight in the actual experience of eating the food....

I need to get in the canning spirit. I used to love to can jellies, but haven't in so long. Now I have a seriously large amount of tomatillos, and am thinking salsa verde. Thanks for the inspiration!
