I have not baked in years. Dave bakes once in awhile. How many husbands hear this from their wives, "honey, do you have any chocolate chips anywhere?" He did and I used them. My husband also offered spiritual counseling during the process. I am not a baker.
Be sure
not to have the mixer turned up high after you add the wet ingredients. I looked like a dalmation within seconds! Due to the aforementioned spiritual counseling, I did not lose heart.
Yes..it's from a box..but I did mix two kinds of canned frostings together and added the choc. chips...came up with vanilla/chocolate cream cheese frosting.
I marinated boneless pork chops in EVOO, rosemary, lemon juice and lemon zest...and garlic. I put them on the stovetop grill...cooked them to medium. Luscious.
Baked some cut red potatoes with the same ingredients...crispy and delicious. I added a nice, big salad...and it was dinner.

Hey! I know it's off topic, but I heard Delilah on the radio yesterday. (Yeah, I know...but I listen to other stuff, too.) She was talking about her sister planting potatoes in a barrel. Every day adding more soil. Cheryl already stuck our potatoes in and I know she constantly mounds the soil up, as they grow.
Re. cake: I usually cut most of the cake away and just eat the icing.
Peg...I have decided to plant potatoes in a half-barrel!
I bought too many veggie seeds...what was I thinking?
I haven't been feeling well enough to do much...so glad there isn't much to do yet.
I am not a baker either. I bake very rarely. But yeah I bake potatoes :)
CAKE! And other great stuff. I'm starving now. You're a cruel mistress Melody!
I was so damned impressed with that cake! I might try it again in a few years.
