Let's do the pasta step!

My dear husband built this "pasta step" for me. I love it. I especially love the foam bumper he glued around the edges...it's a real ankle saver! I am short..and making pasta over there always made my shoulders hurt. I told him I needed to be about 3 or 4 inches taller! It also makes it easier to put dishes (from my new Bosch dishwasher) away in the cupboard. I used to have to use a little step stool. Being short sucks.

Amen! Being short DOES suck! I'm short too. Love that your husband made you the step. That's fabulous.

Eileen,

If I was any shorter, I could co-star on Little People, Big World.

Short people are cool!

My short little Mother had to start calling me to reach things in the kitchen for her when I was about 11 yrs old.

Being tall sucks. Looking over everyone's heads in the crowd, lumbering over every dancing partner, scaling down the high heels, bumping your head going down to the bsmt, feet hanging over the bed...

Your kitchen should be scaled for YOU! My kitchen should be shut down for malpractice of cookery.

LOL! Peg, you're hilarious!

You're right. Our kitchens should be scaled for us. One of the my favorite kitchens is in the Laura Ingalls Wilder home in Mansfield, MO. Almanzo made the entire kitchen to Laura's 4'10" scale. It's wonderful. I could be so at home there. It's like playing in a doll house where everything fits short people!
